When Matthew Westby left Westby Farm in Windlebridge, to seek a future in the city of Windleport, he knew he wanted some kind of business, as he is a money sim. He had always admired his Uncle Peter, who started the Westby Wagons & Horses store in Windlebridge, and was thinking about doing something like that. Lots of sims travelled far to Uncle Peter's place, and maybe the market wasn't big enough - yet - for another store like that one. He also considered the grocery and fruit business, as he always could buy the stock for a good price from his brother Andrew, who took over the Westby Farm. However, de decided on something completely different: toys! The Windle region saw a baby boom, and toys and kids stuff like cradles and baby chairs was the thing to go for, he thought. Said and done, with the help of inherited money and a loan, he acquired a property in Old Town, with business facility facing the Old Town Square, and a house suitable for the family, facing Shoemaker Street.

Actually the property was 5 smaller houses, renovated to use for one family with a business, perfect for his needs.
There was a small yard in the middle, with an outhouse and some space for an apple tree and maybe even some gardening.

 

The Toy Store started small, just a few toys and also a small selection of baby beds and chairs. In the future he considers starting a production of his own toys, but that will need more labor, so its probably a good idea to wait until his own children can help in the store.

 

 

Winifred gave birth to twin girls, Miranda and Melissa. She and Matthew want a big family, this is only the beginning.
