Being the oldest faculty in Windle College, it was very important to rebuild St Vincent after the big fire.
The new building does not look as much as a church as the old one, maybe a sign of the widening of the faculty to educate not only the men of the church.
Many of the graduates of St Vincent still become men of the church, either in the Monastery of the Brethren or as vicars in churches. The faculty is a tranquil place, focused on philosophy and theological problems. The beautiful garden is a good place for meditation and contemplation. |

Panic spread through the St Lawrence faculty, when the house burned down. The fire, that spread to the faculty of St Vincent nearby, and left the old houses in ashes, caused four deaths and many injuries. All of the College was first paralyzed of the shock and the grief.
But from the ashes a new and better College will rise, as the College is building FOUR new faculties.
"We mourn the dead but try to look forward" said the College Chancellor in a remembrance speech after the fire.
