| | Third Spring | | Monks | | 3/16/2008 12:52 AM | If Windlebridge has nuns, Windleport has monks - they belong to the Order of the Brethren. The monastery is located up on Cathedral Hill, next to the Cathedral. Behind its thick walls the monks work and study. The monks are as a rule knowledge sims. They recruit new disciples from the College, and also from the families of Windlebridge and Windleport. A boy can come and start his education as a novice from childhood, and finish his training either in the Monastery or St Vincent in Windle College.

The Monastery own the Cloister Bath's, next to the Monastery. And they plan to start a school for the boys of Windleport.

Up on Cathedral Hill, the life is quiet and serious. The Monks of the Brethren, the order that runs the monastery in Windleport, have a lot of projects. They work on writing books - at this time the printing of books is still a secret to be invented. They grow vegetables and exotic fruits, and of study different sciences. They founded a school, the Cloister School, where the boys of Windleport get their basic education. They also opened a bath, to improve health in the city.
