The first field of sports was arranged for the military students of Windle College, who needed the training to prepare for the battle field.  Sports like soccer and basket ball quickly got very popular with all the students of the college, and the Field of Sports is always full of students engaging in sports. There is now talk of building similar Fields in Windleport and Windlebridge.
