Melvin Thorneapple passed away the third fall, after writing nine great novels and becoming famous all over Windle for them. He died just a day after his wife Dianna. Their marriage was not a happy one, but they had three sons and a daughter, and already several grandchildren.
Melvins son Martin inherited the small cottage in Windlebridge, and renovated it.
He also married Alice, a very young girl from Windleport.

The Thorneapples, Dianna and Melvin, have been married for many years, but the marriage has not been happy for a long long time. Dianna, a love sim, and Melvin, a very jealous family sim, were not the best combination. They had four children but after that there has been everlasting fighting. Melvin, a famous writer, is an abusive husband who won 37 fights over his wife..

Melvin has now written 8 great novels all published in Windle, and is a well known writer. Their sons are all away studying in Windle College, and Melvin hopes one of them will return soon to carry on his legacy. The daughter, Malvinia, is married Hawkwood and lives in Windleport. They have five grandchildren. |

Melvin Thornapple
Melvin Thorneapple is old, but he is still writing his classical novels, sitting by the desk with a view over the Village Square. His wife Dianna is now also an elder, and their marriage is as bad a s ever. Dianna is a Love Sim, and this has been hard on Melvin, which of course is no reason for him to beat her, as he regularly do. (I checked the stats, he won 32 (!) fights over Dianna, she lost each and every one.)
The cottage is small, and even if Melvin has had great successes with his novels, he never had money to buy another house.
Interiors:
Game Play comment: With Freetime, Melvin's profession profoundly changed. Its all to the better, but its odd that you can get only ONE copy of the masterpiece novel, and its not sellable. I would love to have my sims buying Melvins novels, and have them in their homes.. not possible :(
I also want the possibility to add custom plot pictures (no, space rocket does not fit into Melvin's novels, lol) and custom covers.. |

Melvin Thorneapple is a respected writer, writing novels which he sells to make a living. Even if the family is not very rich, it counts like a family of the better class, and sends the sons to college. They live in a house by the village square.
Melvin Thorneapple, now an old man, is married to Dianna who is the mother of his 4 children. Their marriage, however, is not a good one.
 Even when the sons came to visit the fights didnt stop.. Melvin is a family sim, and has big problems with Dianna being a love sim. Dianna had several affairs. This doesn't give Melvin the right to beat her regularly, the way he does! This being in the old sim times though, Dianna doesnt have much choice other than to stay in the marriage. |

Building Note: This house is built with the experimental modding techniques of the Lot Adjuster by Mootilda of MTS2, still in testing and not available for download.
It was originally built on a small lot, then expanded and rebuilt to go to the edges, then reshrunk. I have not had any problems yet playing it. | |
