Josephine was born in Windleport.  Josephine's father is Jacques Villiers and her mother is Lady Isabella Villiers.  Her maternal grandfather was Lord Ian Lennox and her maternal grandmother is Lady Ingrid Lennox. She has a brother and three sisters, named Michel, Jacqueline, Mariette and Monique.  She is the oldest of the five children.
