Eileen was born at Windle Manor. Eileen's father was Sir Patrick Windleton and her mother was Lady Jane Norman Windleton. Her paternal grandparents were Sir Roderick Windleton and Lady Eileen Fitzroy Windleton. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Alarick, Cedrick, Erick, Derrick, Roderick, Rosaleen, Maureen and Kathleen. She is the eighth oldest of the nine children.
