Rumer's father is Rudi Petul and her mother is Chandra Zimarro Petul. Her maternal grandparents were Paul Zimarro and Esmeralda Zimarro. She has two brothers and three sisters, named Paul, Adamu, Crystal, Chavali and Aminta. She is the third oldest of the six children.
